Qadduka Al Mayyas: Unraveling romance and misinterpretation through Sternberg's Triangular Theory of Love

ABSTRACT This research aims to analyze the components of love in the song Qadduka Al Mayyas by Sabah Fakhri based on Robert J. Sternberg's love triangle theory. The love triangle theory explains the three feelings that produce love which include the elements of intimacy, passion and commitment. From these three combinations, what then results is love. This research also aims to identify the type of love depicted in the song's lyrics and clarify the misinterpretation that Qadduka Al Mayyas is a qashidah song. With a descriptive qualitative approach, this research uses text analysis to explore the meaning of lyrics as an expression of romantic love. The research results show that the element of intimacy is reflected through expressions of admiration and praise for charming physical beauty. Passion is seen from a deep emotional description of someone's attractiveness. The element of commitment is indicated through the intensity of deep respect and appreciation for the object of love. Based on these three components, the song Qadduka Al Mayyas is categorized as a form of romantic love aspect. This finding confirms that the song is not a prayer, but a work of art that reflects the culture of love in the Arab tradition ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis komponen cinta dalam lagu Qadduka Al Mayyas karya Sabah Fakhri berdasarkan teori segitiga cinta Robert J. Sternberg. Dalam teori segitiga cinta menjelaskan mengenai tiga perasaan yang menghasilkan cinta yang meliputi unsur keintiman (intimacy), gairah (passion), dan komitmen (commitment). Dari tiga kombinasi tersebut, yang kemudian menghasilkan sebuah cinta. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan mengidentifikasi jenis cinta yang tergambar dalam lirik lagu tersebut serta mengklarifikasi kekeliruan interpretasi bahwa Qadduka Al Mayyas adalah lagu qashidah. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini menggunakan analisis teks untuk menggali makna lirik sebagai ekspresi cinta romantis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa unsur keintiman tercermin melalui ungkapan kekaguman dan pujian terhadap keindahan fisik yang menawan. Gairah terlihat dari deskripsi emosional yang mendalam terhadap daya tarik seseorang. Unsur komitmen diindikasikan melalui intensitas penghormatan dan penghargaan mendalam terhadap objek cinta. Berdasarkan ketiga komponen ini, lagu Qadduka Al Mayyas dikategorikan sebagai bentuk aspek cinta romantic. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa lagu tersebut bukanlah sholawat, melainkan karya seni yang merefleksikan budaya cinta dalam tradisi Arab. مستخلص البحث ملخص البحث: يهدف هذا البحث إلى تحليل مكونات الحب في أغنية قد الدنيا مياس لصباح فخري استناداً إلى نظرية مثلث الحب لروبرت ج. ستيرنبرغ. تشرح نظرية مثلث الحب نظرية مثلث الحب المشاعر الثلاثة التي تنتج الحب والتي تشمل عناصر الألفة والعاطفة والالتزام. ومن هذه التركيبات الثلاثة، ينتج الحب. يهدف هذا البحث أيضًا إلى تحديد نوع الحب الذي تصوره كلمات الأغنية وتوضيح التفسير الخاطئ بأن أغنية قد الدنيا هي أغنية قشدة. ومن خلال المنهج الوصفي النوعي ، يستخدم هذا البحث تحليل النص لاستكشاف معنى كلمات الأغنية كتعبير عن الحب الرومانسي. وتُظهر نتائج البحث أن عنصر الحميمية ينعكس من خلال تعبيرات الإعجاب والإشادة بالجمال الجسدي الساحر. ويظهر الشغف من خلال الوصف العاطفي العميق لجاذبية شخص ما. ويشار إلى عنصر الالتزام من خلال شدة الاحترام والتقدير العميق لموضوع الحب. واستنادًا إلى هذه العناصر الثلاثة ، تُصنف أغنية قد الدنيا على أنها شكل من أشكال الحب الرومانسي .وتؤكد هذه النتيجة أن الأغنية ليست دعاء، بل هي عمل فني يعكس ثقافة الحب في التراث العربي.
