This article presents selected aspects of ethics and values in higher education, aiming to identify the hierarchy of values shaping the lives and work of students. The research methods employed include a critical literature review and surveys. Findings reveal that for the surveyed students, family and good health are the most important values in life, while religion and travel hold the least importance. In the professional realm, respondents prioritize work that brings joy and a positive atmosphere, while great responsibility in fulfilling professional duties professional duties ranks lowest.
