Factors that Influence the Effectiveness of a Multimedia Educational Publication
The popularity of multimedia educational editions can be explained by their ability to combine textual information, images, audio, video and interactive elements, which enriches the learning experience. However, the effectiveness of such editions depends on many factors, and it is their study that has become the main goal of this paper. One of the main tasks was to understand which factors have the greatest impact on the effectiveness of multimedia editions. To do this, we analysed previous studies, conducted a patent search to identify the latest trends in this area, and interviewed experts. It turned out that accessibility, content relevance, and interactivity are key components that determine the success of multimedia learning materials. For example, accessibility is critical to ensuring equal access to educational resources for all users, including people with disabilities. Interactivity, in turn, promotes deeper involvement of pupils and students in the learning process, making it more interesting and effective. Research has also shown that innovations in multimedia learning have great potential to improve educational outcomes. In particular, a significant increase in the number of patents in the field of interactive technologies, augmented and virtual reality indicates that these areas are actively developing and can significantly affect the quality of learning. Thus, this study has allowed us to develop recommendations for improving the effectiveness of multimedia educational editions. They can be useful for publishers and content creators, helping them to adapt their materials to the needs of a modern audience and ensure high quality educational resources. This, in turn, will contribute to improving the overall quality of the learning process and increasing students' knowledge.
