Delivering with impact - How to communicate the innovation/ entrepreneurship message effectively to diverse audiences: the GradElevate initiative, lessons learnt and open questions

How can we harness emerging technologies to create more engaging, inclusive, and effective learning experiences? Drawing from a cross-institutional postgraduate initiative, this interactive workshop explores practical approaches to integrating Generative AI (GenAI) and virtual solutions in innovation and entrepreneurship education. The session combines theoretical frameworks with hands-on experience, allowing participants to engage with practical implementations of the AI Assessment Scale framework for ethical GenAI integration. Through interactive demonstrations, participants will explore real examples of GenAI-enhanced collaborative learning tasks and experience virtual learning environments designed for taught postgraduate education. The workshop provides opportunities to critically examine how digital tools can support inclusive teaching practices, with particular emphasis on creating accessible and engaging learning experiences. The workshop demonstrates how social constructivist learning principles can guide the meaningful integration of digital tools in teaching practice. Through real examples from our 'innovation quests' - collaborative tasks where business students work with GenAI tools to develop solutions for industry challenges - participants will explore how emerging technologies can enhance student engagement while developing critical innovation skills. Drawing on cross-institutional research and industry collaboration, we'll share insights about designing technology-enhanced learning experiences that prepare students for an AI-augmented future while maintaining academic integrity. The workshop addresses common challenges in innovation education, including fostering creativity, supporting collaboration, and developing professional capabilities. Particularly relevant for educators working with diverse student groups, this workshop offers practical strategies for creating engaging learning experiences that bridge physical and digital spaces. Participants will leave with actionable approaches for incorporating emerging technologies in their teaching practice, along with frameworks for evaluating the effectiveness of digital learning innovations.
