Розвиток економічної культури і компетентності фахівців педагогічного профілю в умовах університетської освіти

The article substantiates the peculiarities of the development of economic culture and economic competence among pedagogical specialists in the context of university education. Economic competence is defined as a special type of organization of knowledge and skills aimed at economic activity, which allows an individual to solve problems and address typical economic tasks that arise in real life situations. The content of the economic competence of future specialists is proposed to consist of interdependent constituent elements: basic, functional and practical. The economic culture of a future pedagogical specialist is considered to be a holistic personal formation characterized by a high level of mastery of economic knowledge and skills; a well-formed value-based attitude towards the economy, its subject, means and results; and developed personality qualities that allow them to realize themselves in cognitive and socially oriented economic activity. A model for the formation of economic competence among future specialists is presented. It is found that the effective formation of economic competence of future pedagogical specialists involves the use of module-based competency learning in higher education and the involvement of future pedagogical specialists in working on an innovative project. It is emphasized that innovative teaching methods are based on the use of modern advances in science and information technology. These include methods of problem-based and project-based learning, research methods, training formats, group discussions, public presentation of projects, debates, business games, and other methods that involve the actualization of students' creative potential and independence. It is concluded that the task of forming economic competence and economic culture is important for future pedagogical specialists primarily because of the high social responsibility of teachers. A teacher's successful and effective professional activity is possible when combining personal and social values in economic relations.
