The article considers the main theoretical approaches to emergence, as well as the development of complex systems in a socio-economic context and the methodology for their research. The basics of synergetics, the systems approach and the theory of complex systems as methodological foundations for the study of emergent economic phenomena are analyzed. The theoretical and methodological basis of emergence in economics is expanded and scientifically substantiated, which deepens the analysis, clarifies the concept and introduces scientific approaches that can form the basis of the study. The emergent characteristics of capital in the post-industrial economy are considered. The transformation of traditional forms into new forms, such as intellectual, social and reputational capital, is investigated. Modern capital demonstrates an emergent nature, since its new forms arise not as a result of direct evolution, but as a result of the interaction of many agents in a complex environment. Intellectual, social and reputational capital are key determinants of the new economy that cannot be explained within the framework of classical theories. Abstract

The main theoretical approaches to emergence are considered, as well as the development of complex systems in socio-economic contexts and the methodology for their research. The foundations of synergetics, the systems approach and the theory of complex systems as methodological foundations for the study of emergent economic phenomena are analyzed. The theoretical and methodological basis of emergence in economics is expanded and scientifically substantiated, which deepens the analysis, clarifies the concept and introduces scientific approaches that can form the basis of research.Institutional economics also considers the process of forming new norms, rules and organizations as a result of evolutionary emergence, caused by the multiplicity of interactions between subjects. As a result of this process, new institutions arise that adapt to complex economic dynamics and contribute to the formation of an innovative environment. The economic nature of the origin of emergent models of innovative development is studied. It is shown that these models are based on the integration of knowledge, technology and capital, which creates new conditions for sustainable growth and adaptability of the economy.
