Liman İşletmelerinin Web Sitelerinin Değerlendirilmesi: Kocaeli Liman Bölgesi*
We can state that ports take the burden of the maritime sector, which has the largest share in the world trade. By transporting the high tonnage cargoes of countries located at long distances by sea, it both reduces the cost and increases the market share in trade. Ports are divided into types according to the variety of cargo and serve all loads. In international trade, ports operate in a very intense and competitive manner. When customers are choosing ports, those ports are preferred if the service quality of the ports is higher. They want to complete the competition race ahead by doing the best from the equipment in the ports to the smallest system used. The internet and websites used in ports also increase the quality of service provided to customers. Certain criteria have been determined with categories and variables such as account opening, KVKK & privacy policy, current status of the ships in the ports, technical features of the port, etc. on the websites. With these criteria, necessary analyses have been made about how effectively the ports use their websites.
