La Fundación Ford en Argentina a principios de los años sesenta: El caso de la Escuela de Economía Política de la Universidad de Buenos Aires
This work describes the Development Program of the School of Economics at the Faculty of Economic Sciences of UBA during the 1960s, in association with the Ford Foundation. This program aimed to influence economic education in Argentina through courses for graduates, hiring foreign professors, and supporting research. Despite the criticisms received and the political and administrative difficulties encountered, seminars and courses were conducted with foreign professors, in addition to scholarships for studying abroad. The joint efforts highlighted discrepancies between the objectives of faculty and the foundation, thus emphasizing the complexity and achievements of the program in transforming economic education in Argentina.
