Data for "Providing Access to Historical SEC Filings: An Assessment of Mergent Archives and Physical Microfiche Collections"

The dataset consists of a sample of 3,458 physical microfiche of Security and Exchange Commission filings that we compared to holdings in a digital archive in Mergent Archives. Variables in the data include year of filing, filing type, company name if known, letter range of the company name is not known, digital availability and a readability score.for the digital record.
