Contraintes climatiques et productions agricoles dans la prefecture de Kpendjal (Nord-Togo)
The impact of climate change on agriculture is a major challenge for developing countries. The objective of this study is to assess the impact of climatic constraints on agricultural production in the Prefecture of Kpendjal in Northern Togo. The study is based, on the basis of a methodological approach based on documentary research, the analysis of climate data as well as the statistical collection and processing of field data in Excel, SPSS and Sphinx Plus2- V5. The results reveal that the study area is subject to climatic variation characterized by a decrease in rainfall and an increase in temperature. This climatic variation has a significant impact on crops, with a fluctuation in sorghum and yam yields in recent decades. The present research highlights projects for the sustainable adaptation of production systems in the prefecture of Kendjal in the context of an ever-increasing climate crisis.
