ACHIEVING SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF ALTERNATIVE ENERGY SOURCES THROUGH STATE REGULATION MECHANISMS
The issue of achieving sustainable development through alternative energy sources is actively discussed in the modern world. The aim of the study is to characterize the features of achieving sustainable development of alternative energy sources through state regulation mechanisms. The object of the study is state regulation of the development of alternative energy sources. The main task of the article is to determine how to achieve sustainable development of alternative energy sources through state regulation mechanisms. The strategic shift in focus from traditional sources to renewables, such as solar, wind, and hydro power, is becoming an important response to the environmental, economic, and social challenges of the global community. The environmental impact of fossil fuels prompts a transition to cleaner technologies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and contribute to biodiversity conservation and quality of life. At the same time, such a transition requires active state participation in regulation and stimulation of the relevant sector, which is reinforced by the need to create new jobs and reduce energy dependence. It has been proven that the essence of achieving sustainable development of alternative energy sources lies in the transition from fossil fuels, which are extremely harmful to the environment, to renewable sources such as solar, wind, hydro, and biomass. State regulation is crucial in stimulating the implementation of alternative sources, establishing economic incentives, formulating energy efficiency standards, and ensuring compliance with environmental norms. This not only strengthens the energy security of the state but also forms a new approach to resource use that balances the needs of today and the future. International cooperation and partnerships also play a vital role in the process, opening up avenues for technology exchange and investment. Educational programs and public engagement increase population awareness and support for initiatives aimed at sustainable development.
