The article explores methods for activating social service clients in territorial communities of the Cherkasy region during wartime. The primary focus is on the social and psychological challenges faced by social service clients in the context of war. The authors identify key challenges, including loss of social connections, emotional instability, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD),and social isolation. It is emphasized that traditional social work methods are insufficient, necessitating personalized counseling, group work formats, and a resource-oriented approach to enhance effectiveness. The methodological framework includes theoretical analysis, comparative and statistical analyses, and empirical methods. A survey was conducted among 23 social workers and 25 social service clients in the Shramkivska, Bobrytska, and Chervonoslobidska communities. Results indicate that 30 % of social work professionals and 40 % of clients recognize the importance of individual counseling, 25 % highlight the effectiveness of support groups, and 20 % confirm the positive impact of the resource-oriented approach. The findings suggest that this approach contributes to broader social changes within communities. The study underscores the necessity of shifting the focus of social work from clients’ problems to their strengths, enhancing resilience and independence. It substantiates indicators and criteria for monitoring client activation in social services within territorial communities under martial law. The findings can help improve social work practices, refine intervention strategies, and ensure the effectiveness of social services in crisis conditions.
