Духовна музика як фундамент морально-психологічного стану особистості

This article explores the phenomenon of sacred music as a key factor in shaping individuals’ moral and psychological well-being. The authors examine the role of spirituality in youth education and highlight the significance of national cultural traditions in this process. During globalization, which often erodes authentic values, turning to a nation’s spiritual heritage becomes increasingly vital. Ukrainian sacred music, with its deep historical roots, plays an important role in shaping moral values, patriotism, and aesthetic preferences. Its uniqueness lies in its ability to influence an individual’s inner well-being, harmonize emotions, establish peace of mind, and create conditions for self-development. This article examines the influence of sacred music on the formation of value orientations in youth, with a focus on its role in nurturing a highly spiritual personality. This study emphasizes that sacred music is not only a part of cultural heritage but also an effective tool for harmonizing the socio-cultural environment. Its profound meaning, rooted in canonical church texts, allows the individual to feel a connection between an individual’s inner world, national traditions, and universal ideals. Special attention should be given to the use of sacred music in the educational process. It contributes to the development of aesthetic perception, moral resilience and fosters a sense of love for one’s nation, respect for spiritual heritage, and an understanding of deep moral principles. The authors note that given the current conditions of societal development, sacred music often loses its true purpose, transforming into an element of musical events aimed solely at evoking emotions. This sometimes diminishes its spiritual value in the process of moral education. To address this issue, a comprehensive approach to popularizing and using sacred music is needed. This approach involves integrating sacred music into the education system, developing new forms of performance, and studying of its impact on various aspects of spiritual and social life. This study concludes that sacred music plays a key role in shaping individuals’ moral and psychological well-being. It is not only an artistic phenomenon but also a deeply spiritual phenomenon. Sacred music helps strengthen individuals’ moral foundations, influencing value orientations such as kindness, honesty, compassion, and harmony with oneself and the world. Therefore, the phenomenon under study is a means of deep self-reflection and awareness of one’s place in the world, contributing to the development of inner balance, tolerance, and spiritual growth.
