Modern technologies for reading and listening to books play a key role in education, development and entertainment, especially when it comes to effective information assimilation and user convenience. In a fast-paced life where time is becoming increasingly valuable, the combination of text and audio formats in a single solution allows for maximum adaptation of the reading process to individual needs. The purpose of the article is to research (analyse) the existing analogues of mobile applications for reading and listening to books, to determine their advantages, disadvantages and main functions. The research is aimed at identifying market trends, user needs and opportunities for improving such services. Research methods include: literature analysis – the study of scientific papers, articles and materials related to the development and implementation of book applications. Comparative analysis – evaluating the functionality, interface and user experience of popular applications. User surveys – gathering opinions on the convenience, popular features and shortcomings of solutions. SWOT analysis – identifying advantages and disadvantages, opportunities and threats for further improvement of applications. The novelty of the research is a comprehensive analysis of modern applications for reading and audiobooks with a focus on combining text and audio functions, assessing the interactive capabilities of such applications, in particular, synchronisation of reading and listening; personalisation of recommendations and integration with other services. The conclusion of the research carried out in this article is that the author analysed: software solutions for providing book content (such as Amazon Kindle, Google Play Books, Apple Books, Audible and Scribd); and identified the advantages and disadvantages and limitations of modern solutions for providing book content in text and audio format; identified promising areas for further development of bookmobile applications (in particular, such as the use of hybrid content formats; intellectualisation of content provision processes; expansion of functionality for different categories of users; personalisation of recommendations; and.
