Hur påverkar avataren Tengai rekryteringsprocessen? : en studie om ett AI baserat rekryteringsverktyg och dess påverkan på rekryteringsprocessen
This thesis investigates the impact of the AI tool Tengai on the recruitment process, with a particular focus on selection and screening. The purpose is to develop a deeper understanding of how AI-based recruitment tools influence the recruitment process. The study employs a qualitative methodology, with semi-structured interviews as the primary method of data collection. The sample includes three individuals working in recruitment within the HR department of a public organisation that has implemented the tool. An abductive approach was chosen to allow flexibility in exploring existing theories together with new findings. The analysis of the interviews highlights how Tengai is utilized in practice and its implications for both recruiters and candidates. The findings indicate that Tengai has both positive and negative effects on selection and screening. On the positive side, the tool enables a greater number of candidates to be invited for interviews. Additionally, it promotes more objective judgement by reducing implicit bias, thereby contributing to a more fair recruitment process. However, the findings also reveal several challenges. The tool was perceived as time consuming and difficult to integrate with existing systems, which created technical barriers. Furthermore, Tengai struggled to process detailed responses from candidates, occasionally resulting in inaccurate assessments. The candidate experience was also considered less than ideal, potentially affecting perceptions of the organisation.
