Herramientas digitales para enfrentar el Acoso Sexual Callejero: experiencias y lecciones desde Latinoamérica
The aim of this article is to collect and analyze experiences in the design and implementation of digital tools aimed at combating street sexual harassment in Latin America. The research employs a qualitative methodology based on content analysis and documentary review, utilizing open, axial, and selective coding. Theoretically, the study is situated within the Latin American ethical-political perspective, which advocates for the development of science and technology tailored to address regional challenges while considering the socio-cultural realities of the context. Street sexual harassment is approached from the perspective of "male violence against women," drawing on feminist theory for analysis. The research identified 37 digital tools designed to address street sexual harassment, incorporating features of Web 3.0 and 4.0, of which only 7 remain active today. The development and implementation of these technologies reflect both advances and challenges concerning their sustainability. While digital tools are urgent and effective measures, they do not provide a comprehensive solution, as street sexual harassment is deeply rooted in structural violence and patriarchal attitudes. Nevertheless, these initiatives stand out for their innovative and critical application of technology to tackle this issue, demonstrating a strong commitment to promoting and protecting women's rights in public spaces.
