Efectos de la rotación del personal sobre el ambiente laboral en un establecimiento de salud público de Ica- Perú

This article aimed to analyze the relationship between staff turnover and work climate in a public hospital in Ica- Peru. A quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational methodology was used, applying validated surveys to a convenience sample of 80 employees. Spearman's correlation coefficient revealed a significant and moderate relationship between the two variables (r = 0.547), with the compensation dimension showing the strongest association (r = 0.595). A total of 61.3% of participants perceived high turnover, mainly due to deficiencies in compensation and recruitment processes, while 86.3% rated the work climate positively. The findings suggest that staff turnover is influenced by organizational climate factors, particularly economic and procedural aspects. The study recommends strengthening compensation policies and professionalizing human resource management. However, the applicability of the results is limited by the cross-sectional design and the focus on a single institution. Future longitudinal and comparative studies are recommended to broaden the findings.
