Estudio comparativo de riesgo cardiovascular en trabajadores de la UMF No. 47 IMSS, Tabasco
Introduction. Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of non-traumatic death, the staging of cardiovascular risk is the basis of its treatment and prevention. In Mexico, Framingham and Globorisk have been widely used, but there is no standardized scale. Objective. To compare cardiovascular risk outcomes measured by Framingham and Globorisk. An observational, cross-sectional and analytical study was carried out comparing the results of the EPICAVT test carried out in August 2023, by the Prevention and Health Promotion Services to workers of all basic categories, between 40 and 60 years of age from the family medicine unit No. 47 of the IMSS Tabasco. The variables studied were sociodemographic, occupational and cardiovascular risk. The information was obtained from the databases of the program's registries. Their cardiovascular risk was statified and the results of Pearson's and Kappa's chi-square tests were compared, considering a p≤0.05.Results. In the present study, 52.9% (37) were female, with a mean age of ⱦ=47.2 years, the cardiovascular risk according to Framingham 27.1% and according to Globorisk 12.9%, with a high risk of cardiovascular events at 10 years. Conclusions. The comparison between the Framingham and Globorisk models reveals that, although both are useful for assessing cardiovascular risk, they have important differences in their classifications, since the former includes biochemical mediations, while Globorisk does not consider them necessary.
