El Teletándem: incertidumbre, identidades/ consonancias, colaboración y, finalmente, el tema

This study describes the course "Teletandem: collaborative dialogues in portuguese and spanish", conducted at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG) during the second semester of 2022. The course included the participation of Brazilian, Argentine, Colombian, and Mexican students, organized into language pairs consisting of one Brazilian student and one Spanish-speaking student. This course promoted linguistic and intercultural interaction among participants, as each student was tasked with teaching their language to their partner and developing a thematic project of their choice. The project was based on the pedagogy of educational projects (Ispizua, 2016; Lodoño, Pérez, & Tello-Zuluaga, 2023), integrating the cultural contexts of Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, or Mexico and fostering collaborative learning (Figueiredo, 2018). The research adopted a case study approach (Denzin & Lincoln, 1992), collecting data through video recordings of interactions, reflective journals, and interviews with the language pairs. The results demonstrated that teletandem and the pedagogy of educational projects are effective approaches for internationalization at home, significantly contributing to enhancing linguistic competencies and developing intercultural skills essential in a globalized world. Furthermore, the study highlighted how this methodology fosters autonomy, student agency, and the creation of meaningful initiatives, providing a transformative and enriching educational experience at both personal and academic levels.
