Efectos de la Música y el Arte en el Desarrollo Integral a nivel de Educación Inicial

This systematic review, focused on the Ecuadorian context, aimed to determine the impact of music and art education on the comprehensive development of preschool children. Through a rigorous analysis of the scientific literature, strong evidence was found supporting the hypothesis that early exposure to the arts contributes significantly to the cognitive, socioemotional, and creative development of children. The results obtained suggest that integrating musical and artistic activities into educational programs can improve academic performance, foster essential social and emotional skills for life, and stimulate creativity and personal expression. However, a need was identified for more research with robust methodological designs and representative samples of the Ecuadorian population. It is recommended that educators and curriculum designers consider incorporating artistic experiences into early childhood education programs, and that researchers continue to explore the underlying mechanisms of the effects of arts education on child development.
