El Campo de Cartagena-Mar Menor como referente del patrimonio hidráulico en la Región de Murcia (España)

The Campo de Cartagena-Mar Menor (Region of Murcia-Spain) bears witness of the history of men’s adaptation to the environment through a substantial and heterogenous hydraulic heritage. The aims of this work consist on analysing its reality as well as to studying the measures taken for its recovery, specially regarding touristic and cultural purposes. This task is approached by using a methodology that combines qualitative and quantitative criteria, which results have been transferred to a SWOT/TOWS matrix, which has enabled to display the union of the positive and negative aspects that affect it, on the basis of which a set of strategies have been established in order to implement an improvement plan that will lead to its consolidation, a matter that needs to be redefined.
