Empleo Decente como Derecho Humano Universal: fundamento de una Sociedad Inclusiva y Equitativa
The right to work is a right recognised in the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights. However, the concept has evolved into ‘decent work’, which calls for improved working con-ditions (ILO, 2019). Precarious employment and unemployment are structural problems asso-ciated with rising rates of poverty and social exclusion. Combating unemployment and lifelong learning are key to fostering inclusion and universal citizenship (UNESCO, 2021). Methodo-logy: a mixed methods approach examines the value of competence development and life-long learning in promoting employability. Results: competence development has an impact on the occupational, personal, social and emotional domains (European Commission, 2020; UNESCO, 2015)
