Bem viver (Suma Qamaña) e a geografia humanista: tecendo diálogos entre o espaço e lugar

This article presents part of the research we conducted for our Master's degree in Geography in the Territory and Society area of the Pan-Amazon region, where we sought to understand Buen Vivir and its relationship with the humanist geography used to analyze the Amazon frontier. Thus, the objective of this article is to analyze Buen Vivir from the perspective of space and place. Based on this phenomenon, we propose to first understand the characteristicsof the indigenous worldview of Buen Vivir: the Pachamama, the Socialist, and the Ecologist. And then, to weave the dialogues between Space and Place based on the practices of Buen Vivir. The methodology used was a bibliographic and qualitative approach. Thus, we verified that Buen Vivir is in line with humanist geographical thought, in which space and place are constructed through experiences, emotions, and values. Its value is not anchored in material price, but in symbolic relationships and in the accumulation of experiences of ancestral populations in the various places of Pachamama. We conclude that it is urgent to think of other worlds, other ways out, other ways of living, because it is no longer possible to think that exhaustible resources will satisfy the inexhaustible desires of consumption of things and people. The time is coming when our consciousness must seek to return to the starting point, which is the appreciation of life in all its forms and manifestations.
