Asociación de Estrés Laboral, Calidad de Vida y Obesidad en Trabajadores de la UMF 35

Workplace stress has gained significant importance due to its negative effects on the health of workers and organizations, making working conditions a problem. At the same time, quality of life has been the subject of study regarding the growing impact of work-related stress on health and obesity, since the latter is strongly linked to mood disorders. In 2017, one in five deaths worldwide was related to poor diet. The objective of this study is to analyze the association between obesity, work-related stress, and quality of life in workers at the 35-member FMU using an instrument for quality of life and one for work-related stress and the determination of BMI. An analytical, prospective, observational, and cross-sectional study was conducted with 182 workers, using finite population calculations. The construct was developed to determine the dimensions assessed by the work-related quality of life instrument. 94 study subjects were female. It was found that subjects with a higher level of quality of life had lower levels of stress. A prevalence of obesity was obtained at 39%, and 12.6% presented high levels of stress.
