Aplicación de Estrategias Eco-Pedagógicas sobre Residuos Sólidos con Estudiantes de Quinto Grado del Centro Educativo Las Lajas, Municipio de Magüí Payán, Nariño

This research focuses on the implementation of eco-pedagogical strategies with fifth grade students of the Las Lajas Educational Center, located in the municipality of Magüí Payán, Nariño, in which a diagnostic survey was conducted to determine the state of knowledge that these students have in relation to the integral management of waste, thus allowing the design of a booklet that promotes eco-pedagogical activities focused on the identification, reduction and use of solid waste within educational facilities. Based on the above, it was possible to show that students lack knowledge related to the use or recycling of solid waste, which has led to poor disposal of these, generating a significant impact on the environment, due to the lack of knowledge of its use. This work aims to carry out eco-pedagogical strategies that help mitigate the problem of solid waste pollution that has been occurring in the educational center. Surveys were conducted with 19 fifth grade students from the aforementioned educational center, which reflected that environmental education needs to be strengthened in these rural areas where the municipality is located, allowing for the generation of environmental awareness and culture, promoting the implementation of actions that improve the environment and infrastructure of the facility and that are a reason for the preservation of the environment inside and outside the institution. This analysis underlines the importance of integrating eco-pedagogical strategies that are practical, dynamic and contextualized in the daily lives of students.
