Análisis de Contingencias Sintetizadas Informado por Entrevista (IISCA) y Tratamiento Basado en Habilidades: Propuestas para una Intervención Compasiva en el Autismo

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurobiological condition characterized by social communication difficulties and repetitive behaviors. The prevalence of challenging behaviors in individuals with ASD underscores the need for effective and ethical interventions. This study proposes InterviewInformed Synthesized Contingency Analysis (IISCA) and Skill-Based Treatment (SBT) as methodologies to address these behaviors. IISCA uses an open-ended interview to identify contingencies, supplemented by direct observations and functional analysis. SBT focuses on training functional communication, tolerance, and cooperation, promoting adaptive skills. Compassion is integrated as a core dimension in ABA, enhancing the effectiveness of interventions and the quality of life for individuals with ASD. Active participation of individuals and collaboration with caregivers are key elements. This compassionate approach minimizes the risk of retraumatization and fosters a safe and respectful therapeutic environment. The results indicate that personalized and personcentered interventions are essential to effectively and ethically address challenging behaviors, highlighting the importance of a humane approach in ABA practice.
