ANALYSIS AND ASSESSMENT OF RETAIL PARKS' IMPACT ON REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN BULGARIA

The article deals with topics in the field of regional development, or more specifically, issues related to the expansion of the retail network and how this positively affects a region. Several ways in which this can be done are shown, with one possible approach to regional development being through the rational management, development, and optimization of the retail network, which can have a highly positive and beneficial effect on regional development. Modern tools for locating retail outlets and their impact on individual territories are discussed. In this direction, examples are taken from large retail chains such as Bila, Kaufland, Lidl, etc., showing what added value they have for the regional development of the territories in Bulgaria.
