Un Estudio sobre la Moda Digital para Avatares en el Metaverso

The present study focuses on digital fashion design intended for the metaverse, exploring the relevant technologies for the creation of virtual clothing and its impact on the user experience. The research design adopted is cross-sectional and non-experimental, combining a mixed approach that integrates descriptive and propositional elements. The information was collected through an online survey directed at 150 users belonging to virtual communities of video games or metaverses, who have avatars. These participants were selected from different platforms in order to ensure a variety of perspectives and experiences. The study also investigates three-dimensional design tools and virtual representation techniques in order to develop garments that express users’ digital identity. According to the feedback received from the participants, the relevance of personalization and cultural representation in garment design is highlighted. This shows that users are looking not only for clothes that fit their avatars but also for those that reflect their personal styles and cultural backgrounds. The final digital collection includes 10 exclusive garments, designed according to the characteristics and styles identified in the focus groups. Each component of the set integrates attributes that enhance interaction, such as customization options and various color ranges, allowing users to enjoy a gratifying user experience. The main objective of this research is to analyze digital fashion in the various metaverses active until the year 2023. The aim is to provide designers with tools and strategies that allow them to optimize their relationship with virtual audiences, thereby contributing new knowledge and practical solutions in this field. The results indicate that the inclusion of user feedback in the design stages can have a positive impact on the relevance and appeal of digital garments. This approach could be explored in future research as a strategy to target virtual users as an emerging market segment.
