Tendencias de IA para la educación universitaria: un enfoque bibliométrico

In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) has radically revolutionized the field of education by offering innovative tools that transform both teaching and learning. However, understanding of its specific impact on university education remains limited. This study aims to analyze the emerging trends of AI in higher education using a bibliometric approach. Therefore, information was collected from the Scopus database using a specific search strategy, obtaining a total of 4146 documents for analysis. The Bibliometrix package in R and RStudio software were used to process and visualize the data, which made it possible to identify patterns in scientific production, as well as the main influential actors and the predominant areas of research. The results indicate an exponential growth in the number of publications, with a particular focus on the application of AI for personalized learning and automation of educational processes. In addition, the temporal analysis of keywords revealed a significant change in research trends, highlighting an increase in the exploration of approaches based on machine learning and educational data analysis. However, challenges persist in the adoption and implementation of this technology in educational settings, many related to aspects of security, ethics and availability of resources. This study provides a comprehensive overview of the current landscape of AI in university education and provides relevant information for future research in the field.
