Skolpersonal resonerar kring rastaktiviteter som medel mot mobbning
This study explores the views of school staff on the design and implementation of recessactivities, and whether these activities can be used as a method to prevent abuse and bullying. The study is based on qualitative interviews, which were recorded, with three people indifferent professional roles within the school. Theoretically, the study is based on socialinteractionism. This theory was used to understand how recess activities can be seen as socialinteractions and how they affect students. Previous research shows that recess is an arenawhere most students are exposed to bullying. The results of the study indicate that school staffare positive about recess activities and believe that they can serve as a tool to prevent bullyingand harassment. However, the need for an educator to have this as their main responsibility ishighlighted, as the activities require extensive planning and organisation to be implementedsuccessfully.
