Riesgo de trastornos de la conducta alimentaria en estudiantes universitarios

Introduction: The causes that generate satisfaction and dissatisfaction are fundamental to be able to analyze how they are living their own well-being from the subjective part, it is also important to analyze what causes happiness and sadness, creating a vision of factors that are not given the necessary importance. Objective: To determine the relationship between sex and risk of eating disorders in university students. Methods: Non-experimental, quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional, correlational study using the EAT-26 instrument. Results: there is a relationship between sex and the risk of eating disorders in university students (sig. 0.646 > 0.05). It can be observed that the effect of the association is good, P= .621. Discussion: We agree with the research of Muñoz et al, (2023) showing a dependence between both variables (p value ≤0.05); a check was made on the strength of the association found by means of the contingency coefficient determining that the degree of association was low (Contingency coefficient = 0.101).Conclusion: it is concluded that university students are exposed to the risks comprising the development of eating disorders according to the relationship of sex and the degree of association found.
