Realidad aumentada y realidad virtual: nuevas oportunidades para la Industria Gráfica

The emergence of immersive technologies, such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) has revolutionized various sectors, and the graphics industry is no ex-ception. In this context, the present research work, framed in the Graphic Trends of Tech-nology in Graphic Communication of Uniminuto, aims to explore the new opportunities that these technologies offer to this traditional sector.AR, which superimposes digital elements on the real world, allows you to create interac-tive and enriching experiences. In the graphics industry, this technology can be used to visualize designs in real spaces before production, facilitating decision making and reduc-ing costs. For its part, VR, which immerses the user in a completely digital environment, enables the creation of virtual prototypes of graphic products, allowing a more detailed evaluation and early detection of possible errors.Through an exhaustive review of the scientific literature and case studies, it is expected to contribute to knowledge about the potential of AR and VR in the printing industry. The results of this research can serve as a basis for the development of new strategies and tools that allow design professionals to take full advantage of the advantages offered by these emerging technologies.
