Programa de Intervención Psicoeducativo Multidisciplinario con Terapias Creativas para fomentar Cambios en el Estilo de Vida de Mujeres con Obesidad Grado I del Centro ASSAFAM. Un Estudio de Caso

To investigate the impact and effectiveness of a multidisciplinary psychoeducational intervention program with creative therapies to promote and maintain changes in the lifestyles of young adult women aged 30 to 40 years, with grade I obesity, from the ASSAFAM Care Center, CDMX. A mixed paradigm was used, with a DEXPLIS sequential explanatory design and non-probabilistic and random sampling, forming a control group (n=10) and an experimental group (n=10). Anthropometric measurements of weight, height, waist circumference, BMI and the PAHO Survey (2015) What is my lifestyle like? at the beginning of the program and in the semester after its application. The program was applied for six months only to the experimental group. An average weight reduction of 7.68kg, 4.5cm in waist circumference and a BMI of 29.5 were obtained in this group, placing them in a pre-obese condition. The PAHO survey (2015) achieved 61.5 points, indicating the improvement in their lifestyles. The control group did not show variation in any score. The results demonstrated the impact and effectiveness of the program with creative therapies as an effective tool to change unhealthy lifestyles and maintain them over time.
