Políticas educativas en Colombia para los pueblos indígenas en la década de 1990
This article develops the problem of the historical exclusion of indigenous peoples in Colombia due to their lack of recognition in educational policies, and how, as a result of social struggles, they achieved it in the 1990s. In the current year, the ancestral peoples have agreed with the State on their own indigenous education system, an achievement that has been under construction for more than three decades. For this reason, it is considered pertinent to analyze the origin of public policies related to education for indigenous peoples, using a critical literature review as a methodology. The results show that, although significant progress was made at the normative level in the last decade of the twentieth century with the ratification of ILO Convention 169, the 1991 Political Constitution, Law 115 of 1994 and Decree 804 of 1995, it did not transcend at the factual level.
