OBTAINING SORBENT FROM OSPREY FOR WATER SOFTENING

The paper shows the possibility of using paper industry waste (osprey) as a sorbent to reduce water hardness. It has been shown that osprey heat treatment improves the sorption properties of osprey - the sorption capacity increases more than twice and reaches 185 mg/g in relation to calcium and magnesium ions.
