Panorama historiográfico sobre la dictadura y sus “delitos económicos” en Uruguay (1973-1984)

Over the last two decades, studies of the history of the Uruguayan dictatorship have begun to develop systematically. While several works analyzed this period during previous decades, it was not until the 21st century that there was a sustained increase in the number of studies (and especially publications) of this historical moment. It is worth clarifying that we will not take into account publications that focus solely on the period preceding June 27, 1973, before it was declared a state coup regime. Consequently, publications that have researched the crisis of the Uruguayan democratic system or " "El Camino Democrático a la Dictadura En Uruguay (1967-1973)" (Rico,2009) are outside this paper's field of study. Such studies belong to the field of recent history (Franco and Levin, 2007). Although the history of the dictatorship is included with in this broad field, but we believe it is better to restrict ourselves to a specific timeframe.
