La Viabilidad de las Exportaciones de Camarón con Valor Agregado al Mercado Europeo Año 2024

This study analyzes the evolution of demand for value-added shrimp in the European market, identifying opportunities and challenges for Ecuadorian exporters in 2024. The objective is to understand how the adoption of sustainability certifications and advanced processing technologies can optimize exports. An applied, exploratory and longitudinal research approach was employed, using qualitative methods and statistical analysis to collect data from shrimp companies in Ecuador. The findings show that compliance with international regulations and differentiation through certifications such as ASC are key factors for accessing premium markets. Companies that invest in technological innovation and sustainability manage to improve their competitiveness, satisfying the demands of European consumers who are increasingly focused on quality and environmental responsibility. We conclude that the implementation of value-added strategies not only increases profitability, but also strengthens Ecuador's position in the competitive European market, suggesting the need for continued investments in certifications and technologies to ensure long-term sustainability.
