Luttes intestines (staseis) et comportements radicaux : quand la violence fait irruption dans la cité grecque (IVe au Ier siècle avant a.C.)
By taking an interest in the history of Greek cities, we conceive that civic discord (stasis) can prove to be more dreadful and more disastrous than any external enemy. As soon as the city was no longer able to regulate political tensions by legal means, the community fractured into two irreducible camps and the swing towards internal war became inevitable. In such situation, the violence doubles in intensity, opening the way to transgressive behaviors that we will approach in our discussion through specific cases.
