Los indicadores como herramienta clave para la evaluación contextualizada de la internacionalización de las instituciones de educación superior
The purpose of this study is to analyse the use of indicators as key tools for measuring internationalisation in higher education through a critical analysis of literature. Although indicators have traditionally focused on student and academic mobility, it is essential to consider their impact on teaching, research, and outreach services, as it is no longer about the separation of specific international activities, but about the integrated internationalisation of higher education. Preliminary findings suggest that internationalisation should be seen not only as an adaptation to global standards, but as an opportunity to enrich educational practices with diverse perspectives reflecting one's own cultural identities. In this regard, the need for objective and systematic evaluation is highlighted using indicators that reflect the realities and aspirations of institutions in their specific context.
