L’éducation à la citoyenneté : une exigence pour les droits de l’homme et la paix sociale

Citizenship education is not a simple educational concept, but a real social project which aims to change mentalities. It is a set of activities intended to prepare young people to exercise their role in the community. Citizenship education represents respect for the law and contributes to the promotion of a culture of peace. This production is part of the conceptual field of the philosophy of education and presents itself as an initiation to the challenges of belonging to an organization and taking part in the decision-making process. It will be a question, by means of the analytical method, of observing in what way, an education, in the service of the general interest, and which refers to universal values, could serve as therapy for the negation of the rights of the human person.
