La síntesis entre ecología y evolución como fundamento ético y estético en el Antropoceno: poéticas y miméticas eco-evo

The field-city dialectic has historically dominated ecological and artistic reflec-tion, simplifying ecosystems by reducing them to productive or consumable landscapes, and underestimating their complex eco-evolutionary interactions. Since the late 20th cen-tury, the integration of evolutionary and ecological theories has generated a key synthesis for ethical and aesthetic reflection. This eco-evolutionary approach rejects mechanistic metaphors and understands the Earth system as an organic whole, where organisms form communities linked by deep symbiotic relationships. Two new dialectics emerge here: The ecoevolutionary dialectic allows investigation of how historical events and present conditions shape ecosystems, providing a temporal and dynamic view. The mereological dialectic highlights the interdependence between different levels of biological organisa-tion, from genes and cells to whole ecosystems and cultural products, providing a spatial and recursive view. By supplementing the field-city dialectic with these new visions, theo-retical frameworks for art, literature and design emerge that allow us to understand the co-evolution between organisms and environments. These more complex and dynamic perspectives enrich the creative discourse, linking it to ecosystem sciences and current environmental challenges.
