Key factors of global inequality: a study of the Eastern European experience
The article analyzes theoretical approaches to studying inequality and performing econometric modeling using panel data from Eastern European countries for the period 1990-2021. Key variables include the Gini index, GDP per capita, population size, unemployment rate, and the share of natural resources in the economy. The results show that natural resources contribute to reducing inequality, while economic and demographic growth increase it. The findings can be used to develop measures to sustainably reduce inequality at the national and global levels.
