Incidencia de los eventos hidrometeorológicos en los riesgos ambientales Provincia de Pastaza

Environmental risks are elements to be considered in the development of societies, the objective of this work was to determine the main environmental risks of hydrometeorological origin in the province of Pastaza. A survey was applied in communities in the Pastaza and Santa Clara cantons and the open database of the National Secretariat for Risk Management was reviewed. A frequency analysis was carried out to determine the main events and effects generated. The most recurrent events in the surveys were landslides, earthquakes and snake bites and in the database, floods and landslides indicated more damage to people, families, educational infrastructure, roads, farmland and lost animals. It is concluded that hydrometeorological events generated a greater number of people and infrastructure affected in the province of Pastaza.
