Gestión de mantenimiento sostenible en la industria petroquímica Venezolana

The purpose of this article is to analyze maintenance management in the Venezuelan Petrochemical Industry, using a mixed methodology, based on direct observation, as well as bibliographic foundation. The research is descriptive and field-based, where the information has been taken from the Venezuelan Petrochemical Industrial sector. As a result, the current maintenance system presents weaknesses in the execution of activities, by reducing these opportunities for improvement by applying decision-making to optimize the best maintenance practices (preventive and predictive) in petrochemical industrial processes, through an adequate planning of resources, oriented to the reduction of maintenance costs, with which, it will allow to achieve a better maintenance management, achieving the reduction of oil barrels (oil, coal and gas), to generate as a consequence an increase in the production of the sector to be able to maintain the demand of the companies transforming petrochemical products through the implementation of alternative energies and thus be able to contribute to the non-contamination of the environment by some failure of the equipment.
