Förslag till avskärmningsprodukt för massagestol : Design, konstruktion och prototypframtagning av avskärmningsprodukt för massagestol
The use of open and shared office spaces is increasing, and with this, work-related stress is also on the rise. One way to address this issue is to offer employees a calm and separate environment for rest and recovery. This can be achieved by providing products that meet this need, with the aim of encouraging recovery during the workday. The purpose of this thesis is to develop a shielding product that can be attached to a massage chair. To achieve this goal, the thesis has primarily relied on practical work. The theoretical part includes a product specification, a review of existing shielding solutions, and observations of an existing prototype. The product specification was especially valuable during the development phase. During the concept selection process, a concept selection matrix was used to evaluate the different ideas generated. The matrix identified the four most promising concepts, which were then developed in CAD. Simplified prototypes of these models were built and tested on the massage chair. The best prototypes were further refined in CAD. The final concept was selected in collaboration with the supervisor and further developed into a final prototype. Insights from testing the prototype were considered in the final CAD model. The outcome of this thesis is a CAD model of a shielding product, tailored to fit the massage chair and aligned with the product specifications. The solution fulfills the majority of the requirements outlined in the specification.
