Fotografía en blanco y negro como instrumento de sensibilización para fomentar la adopción responsable de mascotas
Animal shelters have the mission of maintaining the general well-being of each animal, whether dog or cat, that resides in their spaces in a selfless manner. These spaces provide care and protection to defenseless beings who need a family to adopt them and make them part of their lives. This research focuses on promoting healthy and responsible adoption while also contributing to reducing the population of animals living in these shelters, as they are sometimes forced to resort to euthanizing many of them due to lack of space. This is how Conexiones was born, a black-and-white photography project aimed at raising awareness and serving as testimony to encourage people—who have the necessary space and resources—to adopt a pet and make it part of their family, finding happiness and peace in an animal that will be forever grateful for this action. The project consists of an emotional photographic exhibition that promotes the intention of adopting shelter pets. The images reflect natural emotions between people and animals, creating strong bonds and showing how both lives can experience a significant positive change in their mood and emotional health.
