Gestión del agua en la industria hotelera a partir de la percepción del turista
Water is a scarce resource that demands optimal management. The hotel industry typically has high consumption, which can be reduced by applying eco-technologies. This study examines how knowledge management, sustainable governance, transaction costs, and distributive justice influence water management in hotels in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico. A quantitative methodology with structural modeling was used to analyze data from 329 guests. The results reveal that knowledge management, sustainable governance, transaction costs, and distributive justice significantly affect water management. The importance-performance map shows that knowledge management and sustainable governance are the main variables determining optimal water management. In conclusion, this work is innovative because it addresses the lack of studies on water management in the hotel industry in developing countries such as Mexico
