Evaluación de un Programa Institucional de Tutoría: instrumento de RRNET-ANUIES

In 2019, the Northeastern Regional Tutoring Network of the National Association of Universities and Higher Education Institutions (RRNET-ANUIES-Mexico) completed the collaborative work it had been developing to create an evaluation instrument for an Institutional Academic Tutoring Program. This document presents the instrument, along with its validation conducted by the Statistics Laboratory of the Faculty of Exact Sciences at the Juárez University of the State of Durango (FCE-UJED), yielding a Cronbach’s Alpha of 0.94 for the complete instrument. As a result, a validated and reliable instrument is introduced, which considers five key stakeholders involved in the tutorial support process: the student-tutee, who is the recipient of the service and its primaryfocus; the faculty tutor, who provides the support and maintains the most direct and sensitive connection with the tutee; the academic unit tutoring coordinator, responsible for organizing available resources and schedules to ensure the provision of this service; the institutional tutoring coordinator, who oversees central-level training initiatives; and the administrative authorities, who develop policies and programs to ensure the viability of this activity. Placing the student at the center—addressing their needs and, in doing so, enhancing the academic quality indicators of an educational program—is the underlying goal of the tutoring process, making its evaluation a strategic endeavor. Additionally, this document provides a series of recommendations for analyzing the responses obtained through the application of the instrument.
