El verde como argumento y proyecto de la ciudad. La historiografía urbana en Argentina entre la cultura urbana y los aspectos ambientales

This article develops a review of Argentine urban history in relation to the problem of green spaces. Starting from situating the form of the urban past as assemblages of complex components, and subsequently specifying green space as one of them, a review of four works of urban historiography in Argentina is approached. Selected for their wide periodization, quality and consistency, characteristics that gave them relevance in the debates, a reading of these works is made based on the use of green space as a resource for urban history and the construction of its approaches. In contrast to the implicit idea of urban construction as misplaced attempts and fragmented developments, the historical and relational perspective allows us to reconstruct problems and problematizations through approaches and projects in a wide-ranging periodization. In this direction, this collection of studies and their hypotheses allow us to detect the paths followed by Argentine urban history and to outline some less visited ones, such as the one that links urban green spaces with the historical present of environmental and ecological affairs.
