Escritura y vida en Gloria Anzaldúa
In this text, our main objective is to elucidate how Gloria Anzaldúa’s writing can be studied as a fabric of life, by looking at her best-known work: Borderlands / La Frontera: The New Mestiza. In no way does this work start from post colonialist theories. For us, the person called Gloria Anzaldúa does not represent a historical and cultural problem; on the contrary, we see in her referred work the relevance of observing the writer in her singular and unrepeatable dimension, as a way of life interwoven by different textualities: poems, auto-stories, letters, chronicles and manifestos. Therefore, in this work, what matters is to understand Gloria Anzaldúa’s writing, linking it directly to her personal problems, derived from family and social contexts.
